Cricket Tour to Sri Lanka
From £ 2250
Per person, subject to availability
Sri Lanka is a fascinating country, with a mix of different religions, cultures, landscapes, and scenery, however its ultimate pulling factor is the warmth and exceptional hospitality of its people. The local people will always welcome you with open arms and a warm smile. It’s not uncommon for a local school to come and support a local game and be dotted all along the boundary rope.
Similar to India, Sri Lanka’s national sport is cricket, and they have a very proud history. Their national one-day cricket team won the 1996 World Cup in Lahore, Pakistan and ever since have been one of the best ODI teams in world cricket.
Sri Lanka is littered with excellent first-class cricket fields and stadiums all around the country and if you get the opportunity, head to either the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo or the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy to experience a carnival-like atmosphere at one of the Twenty20 games or even a local club match.
