Dubai is very quickly growing into a formidable sporting destination for UK school groups to visit. Netball and cricket are amongst the most popular sporting codes and there are plenty of schools and clubs in Dubai that are keen to welcome touring teams.
The infrastructure is in place to support a thriving club and schools’ system from junior right through to the senior level. One of the latest new additions, is the purpose built $4 billion Dubai Sports City development, which proudly boasts some of the best sporting facilities available, catering for netball, football, athletics, and field hockey.
Dubai also hosts some of the worlds biggest sporting events, such as the IRB Sevens World Series and the FIFA World Cup which will be held in Qatar in 2022. These events has given birth to hundreds of emerging sports clubs and facilities in and around the city and the level and quality of sports played has increased annually.
